Recently, at Tribal Worldwide, I helped to figure out the mechanics for a dealership contest. Entry to the contest required the customer and their winter vehicle service be verified before accepting their entry.

I created two flow diagrams, showing what I imagined was two practical and possible ways the contest entry could work and be built, based on the requirements (examples below). The methods and steps were validated by the development team and presented to the client by the account manager.  I believe this helped to speed up the initial discovery part of the project when the team wasn’t sure what we were building.

The best feedback I got all year was when the project’s Business Analyst called my flow diagrams
‘a thing of beauty’.

Once an approach was decided on and a few other details adjusted, I created wireframes for the responsive webpages needed, including various states, errors and confirmation screens.

[Unfortunately the site is no longer available online due to the time limit for the contest. I would be happy to provide a more detailed look at my documentation and the final site in person.]
